I've always loved artistic endeavors (something I inherited from my mother) and luckily I have been afforded the opportunity to draw, paint, sew and just be plain creative. Making my ideas and feelings take form through my creations has been very rewarding. I grew up in a household which valued creativity and almost all of the skills I know I either taught myself or learned from my mother. I never would have dreamed that as I became older I would be able to put those skills to such good use:) In addition to reborning, I also customize fashion dolls, crochet, and paint fantasy scenes in oils and acrylics.

My main job in the nursery is to give the dolls their realistic skin coloring using Genesis heat set paints and a myriad of brushes and sponges. I also assemble each doll's body adding just the right amounts of polyfill and glass beads so that each finished baby is irresistibly huggable!

I've always loved babies:) My own four children, Jennifer, Tiffany, Dennis and Jonathan have been my inspiration for the babies that come out of our nursery. In addition to spending time with my family, I love sewing and crafts of all kinds. I've even done a little sculpting here and there. My adventure into reborning began three years ago when I found some amazingly realistic baby dolls on eBay. Seeing my interest in the reborn dolls, Tiffany attempted to make me one for Christmas. Unfortunately that first attempt didn't come out as well as we had hoped - it kind of looked like Ronald McDonald with a sunburn (I think we're doing a little better today:). My part of the reborning process includes rooting hair and all seamstress work (sewing doll bodies and baby clothes).

A lot of love and attention goes into each reborn doll that we create and hopefully each baby is more realistic and loveable than the one before!
